Epicsode 2 : CAPTURE!
The Boogers attacked! The Queen’s faithful steed managed to squish a whole bunch of them, and the Queen struck some of them down with her cudgel. It was a terrifying battle, but in the end the Queen and Revolution were captured! (I know you don’t think that’s realistic, or even possible, but this is a story, and you need to have faith in me - your faithful author.)
The Boogers dragged their captor back to the Castle of Conundrum, which was shaped like a shoe, laughing and bragging all the way. “We caught the Queen!” they called out. “We caught her faithful steed!” And they slapped each other high fives, and boogers splattered everywhere, because they are truly the grossest creatures around.
Meanwhile the Queen whispered to Revolution,
“They fell for it! King Respect is trapped in the castle. We’ll get inside and free him!” Revolution nodded knowingly (she knew the Queen had a plan), and everyone reading this story had a renewed faith in their faithful author.
Inside the castle, the Queen was surprised to find all sorts of relics and artifacts from her kingdom - stolen by the evil boogers and their champion. She saw here favorite basketball, her old tennis shoes, her science project that just happened to be half-exploded.
“What are doing with my relics?” she demanded.
The boogers laughed. “Our champion is going to brew a potion to turn your people into rabbits!” More high fives. More boogers all over everything. “Then he’s going to eat them!”
The Queen gasped. The booger champion had to be stopped, but first, she needed her King back by her side.
Down in the dungeons, the Queen and Revolution were separated, but that’s okay. “That’s okay,” said the Queen to Revolution. It was okay. The Queen was then thrown in a dark cell, and who did she find there? Her king? No! Just a pile of dirty rags. “Drat!” shouted the Queen, but then, oh wait, the rags stirred! Ha! And they slowly stood up! The Queen couldn’t believe it! And underneath all those rags was, yes (!), her king - King Respect! And the audience went wild.
Okay. Yea. So. Right. Then they hugged, and the Queen was strong and didn’t cry, but she did notice right away that something was wrong. “What’s wrong?” she asked her King.
“Fruity bat-ship oooooover the moon-dog shoelace of snake!” he cried.
“Huh?” asked the Queen.
“Bears tromping through satin clovers and bumble bees!”
“Oh no!” the Queen cried. “They’ve driven you mad!”
“Whale!”
“And all you can talk about is animals!”
“Shoelaces!”
“Uhm... And shoelaces?”
“Penguin!”
“Noo! It’s too cruel!” The Queen cried, but her despair only lasted a second because she was strong, and she quickly resolved to get to the bottom of things. What had the boogers done to King Respect? How would she make him normal again? (and perhaps most importantly) How would she save her people from the Booger Champion?
