“Guard!” the Queen cried, and a slurping, slumpy Booger walked over the the cell. He smelled like stale gravy and the Queen shivered to be so close to such nonsense. “Guard, what have you done to King Respect? Why is he crazy?”The guard chuckled. “Our Champion drove him mad using a sophisticated technique.”
“Oh yea?” asked the Queen, “Tell me what it is and maybe I’ll spare your life when we escape.”
The guard chuckled again. He wasn’t very bright. “You’ll find out soon enough Queenie. But let’s just say that the Champion has a way with words.” Then the guard turned around and left, leaving a trail of slime behind him.
“Confound it!” cried the Queen, and she knelt beside her king. “What have they done to you, my king?”
“Slippery snails bounding through pleasant monkey town...” he muttered.
“Does this have something to do with the Champion’s evil plan to turn our people into rabbits?”
“Rabbits” the King echoed, and Queen Miraculous resigned herself to wait, and plan, and listen.
